A warm welcome awaits you

Off Our Rockies Bed and Breakfast in Canmore opened in 1997 and I have hosted the most wonderful people from every part of the world.  I can’t imagine a better job, meeting new friends and having old friends return for another visit.

Jackie and Jaxson look forward to meeting youI moved to Canmore from Calgary in 1981 when it was a quiet little town nestled in the majestic Rocky Mountains.  The Canmore Coal Mines had just recently closed and this little Town was about to change!  It went from a Coal Town to a major tourist resort in just a matter of a few years.  The 1988 Winter Olympics breathed new life into Canmore with the Canmore Nordic Centre, and we have never looked back.  I am surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery in the world and not a day goes by that I don’t sit and wonder how I got so lucky.

As the second eldest of eleven children our parents taught us the importance of hospitality, friendship and of course a sense of humour!  In this little Canmore Bed and Breakfast – laughter is free!

I am very familiar with the area and am more than happy to help you plan your day of mountain adventure, be it whitewater rafting, a helicopter tour, horseback riding, hiking skiing or touring  You will find numerous guidebooks, brochures and maps to assist you in planning.

Jaxson our shy Belgian shepherd who lives at our B&B in Canmore

While visiting your Canmore bed and Breakfast you may catch a glimpse of my wonderful dog – Jaxson.  A Belgian Shepherd, Jaxson was born in 2002 and came to me in 2005 after being in a few other homes.  He is very shy and gentle and has fit right in.  Together we walk through the forest each day where he runs after his ball and chases a squirrel or two.  Perhaps you could join us for a stroll through the woods?
